HOW TO PLAN AND CONDUCT YOUR FIRST NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING
1. PLAN YOUR MEETING:
a. Pick a date:
- 2 weeks out
- Skip holidays
- Monday thru Friday @ 7:00 pm
- Tuesday thru Thursday is preferable
b. Find a venue:
- Make a List of Potential venues, including:
Community Centers / Recreation Centers
Public Libraries
Spring Creek BarbequeGolden Corral
Luby's
La Madeleine
IHOP / Denny's
Starbucks
Outback Steakhouse
HotelsChurch
Your home
Search 'restaurant *ZIPCODE*' at http://maps.google.com (*ZIPCODE* = your local 5-digit zip code)- Call each venue on your list and find out availability of a suitable meeting room on or about your date. Plan for a 10%-20% turnout.
- Pick the best venue and reserve it. Get it in writing, if possible.
- Make sure you speak to the MANAGER and make sure to get his / her name.
2. PROMOTE YOUR MEETING:
a. Draft your own announcement or use a boilerplate announcement message.

b. Send the announcement to

- Send the announcement out:
- Immediately (~2 weeks ahead), then
- One week out, then
- 3 days out, then
- 1 day before
3. CONDUCT YOUR MEETING:
a. Personal Introductions (go around the room)
b. Sign Everyone In (Name, Email, Zip, Phone, Precinct #) - KEEP A CLOSE EYE ON YOUR SIGN-IN SHEET
c. Introduce The Five Core Principles:
- Limited Government
- Fiscal Responsibility
- Personal Responsibility
- The Rule of Law
- National Sovereignty
d. Why Are We Here?
- To IDENTIFY Like-Minded Neighbors.
- To CONNECT with them.
- To Get then REGISTERED to Vote.
- To Get them INFORMED.
- To Get them TO THE POLLS.
e. Identify Precinct Leaders
f. Identify Block Captains and assigned areas
g. Take-away Message : EVERYTHING WE DO Between Today and MARCH 2 is FOCUSED ON THAT DAY.
h. 'If not us, WHO? If not now, WHEN?'
